Last night I popped in for the taping of the interview with Danny Boyle and to check out the new set of George’s show… “127 Hours”, Danny Boyle’s next project after his Oscar-winning movie “Slumdog Millionaire” has been premiered at the 35th Annual Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday. One of my favourite Canadian television personality George Stroumboulopoulos was interviewing the director at the CBC studios last night for a new season of the “George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight” show (formerly known as “The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos”).
Danny Boyle talked about the movie “127 Hours” and his personal life, his relationship with his father and other interesting stuff. The movie is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston’s (James Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. Over the next five days Ralston examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary. The film also stars Clémence Poésy, Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara.
“George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight” show premiers next Monday and we may just see this or one of other many interviews he has been doing during Toronto International Film Festival. Here are a few snapshot I took right after the interview (as – understandably so – no photography is allowed during the taping):
