Yesterday I walked by this vintage 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2-Door Hardtop and I had to stop and take a few photos with my iPhone… What a beauty!
The 1957 Chevrolet is an automobile which was introduced by the Chevrolet division of General Motors in September, 1956. It was available in three series models: the upscale Bel Air, the mid-range “two-ten”, and the “one-fifty”. A two-door station wagon, the Nomad was produced as a Bel Air model. An upscale trim option called the “Delray” was available for two-ten 2-door sedans. It is a popular and sought after classic car. These vehicles are often restored to their original condition and sometimes modified. The car’s image has been frequently used in toys, graphics, music, movies and television. The ’57 Chevy, as it is often known, is an auto icon.

Beautiful day at Sunnybrook Stables!
Posted in: Moblogging
It was a beautiful day to be out and about at the Sunnybrook Stables in a Sunnybook Park for a nice dog walk…
Sunnybrook Stables provides horseback riding lessons in the heart of Toronto. They are located in Sunnybrook Park, off Leslie Street, just North of Eglinton Avenue in mid-town Toronto. There are two outdoor sand rings, as well as a 20 by 40 meter indoor arena – assuring comfortable year round conditions for your riding lessons. Sunnybrook Stables is first and foremost a teaching facility. They offer instruction in English riding in both Hunter and Dressage on an excellent selection of school horses, ranging from novice to advanced levels. They have started literally thousands of riders, both children and adults.

Toyota Prius Hybrid Command Central
Posted in: Moblogging
Spent a day driving around the city in the Toyota Prius Hybrid today for the first time, it was a really nice experience. I have chance to drive around only one other Hybrid vehicle before and it was a Honda Civic. While Toyota was great, very smooth on both city roads and the highway, I think my heart is still with the newest Honda Civic Hybrid. What I did like about the Toyota was the command central touch screen which gives you access to everything you need and more right there in front of you… If I were ever to bough a car again, one of these two would be a short list.

Stunning weather outside
Posted in: Moblogging
Just came back from a long walk in the park with my dog, we have been having nothing but stunning weather this fall!
It is still very warm outside, it has been sunny 95% of time for the past couple of months. Looking at this week’s long range forecast it looks like this weather is going to hold up a lot longer, for which I am so grateful as normally this is one of those seasons most people dislike so much.
So despite the fact that we have turned back clocks this past weekend by an hour, and it gets darker just after 5pm right now, these warm and sunny days make the autumn so much easier to handle.

I have been only to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay so Peru is still unknown to me, may be one day I will make it there. For now, postcards like this one below will have to do it.

Elephant in the Allan Gardens Park…
Posted in: Moblogging
A little update from yesterday movie set in the Allan Gardens:They shooting some scenes this morning and yes there is even a real elephant in the park (poor thing must be freezing on this cool day). Don’t know what movie it is but judging by the music, dancing and costumes looks / sounds like a Bollywood production (I am most likely totally incorrect about it – LOL). -

Perfection of it all…
Posted in: Moblogging
There is nothing more enjoyable for me lately like getting up early on Sunday morning and taking my dog for a very long walk in the park when it is sunny and chilly outside like today. The older I get, the more I appreciate the seasons and cool weather, when I was younger hot summers were my favourite time of the year. But those days are gone… This morning was a perfect example of spectacular chilly, but sunny morning, you can almost smell the Fall coming next week!
On a day like today, I wish I was back in Paris because weather reminds me so much my last few mornings when I was there. Walking up early, grabbing coffee and a pastry at the cafe downstairs and crossing couple of blocks to the Seine River to have a breakfast and enjoy the first few hours of the morning. These mornings are so engraved in my mind, that I am sure I will never forget them. I miss Paris so much for this reason alone.
A few snapshots from today’s walk in the park:

You are welcome

Recently one of the major streets in downtown Toronto was repainted by the city in order to replace one of the traffic lanes with two new bike lanes on each side.Drivers were not pleased, but those who live along the street and often use bikecycles are really happy. Hopefully we will start seeing less cars taking this street and people on bikes will take advantage of the new lanes.I use the bike for recreational purposes , so I was very please with the change. Now I feel much safer taking this route when I bike to the lake. Also I noticed that someone posted this week these little ‘Thank you notes’ on lamp posts along the route:
I feel the same… Thank you city of Toronto for the urban remake!
