Awesome transformation is taking place at the Allan Gardens today, which is often used as a set for filming of TV commercials and movies in Toronto.

It looks like the latest incarnation takes us to the Middle East… They are building a movie set today all around the front of the main greenhouse.

There is nothing more enjoyable for me lately like getting up early on Sunday morning and taking my dog for a very long walk in the park when it is sunny and chilly outside like today. The older I get, the more I appreciate the seasons and cool weather, when I was younger hot summers were my favourite time of the year. But those days are gone… This morning was a perfect example of spectacular chilly, but sunny morning, you can almost smell the Fall coming next week!

On a day like today, I wish I was back in Paris because weather reminds me so much my last few mornings when I was there. Walking up early, grabbing coffee and a pastry at the cafe downstairs and crossing couple of blocks to the Seine River to have a breakfast and enjoy the first few hours of the morning. These mornings are so engraved in my mind, that I am sure I will never forget them. I miss Paris so much for this reason alone.

A few snapshots from today’s walk in the park:

When I was walking home today from CBC Studios I noticed how Toronto International Film Festival took over the city this week, red carpets rolled out everywhere you go… Here are a few snapshot I took with my point and shoot:

Brilliant Journal idea! I am sure most of the heavy users need it.

I went to the Whole Foods today and finally found Yerba Mate in Toronto, but only in tea bags, not lose. They may get some more of loose Yerba Mate next week…

In Canada… Thanks to Hotspot Shield! Pandora is not officially available in Canada, just like Hulu and many other services which are restricted by licensing to US only. Luckily we have services in places like Hotspot Shield which allows you to spoof the system to think that you are in the US by obtaining a US IP address through them and therefore opening the services to us.

One of the most beautiful summer mornings in a while. I am cycling on my East Route today towards the Beaches, where I have stopped for a short rest (it has been couple of weeks since I biked due the cold I had). Here are a few snap taken with my iPhone:

As we were taxing at La Guardia today, I noticed Donald Trump private jets – including his personal Boing on the tarmac.

Since we stayed at the Hilton Time Square, we were enjoying the nightly chaos of Time Square. This is what makes NYC the greatest city in the world.

Friend of mine and I took a subway ride to Brooklyn Heights and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge (which neither of us have done it before, it was awesome thing to do – on a perfect sunny day).

Recently one of the major streets in downtown Toronto was repainted by the city in order to replace one of the traffic lanes with two new bike lanes on each side.Drivers were not pleased, but those who live along the street and often use bikecycles are really happy. Hopefully we will start seeing less cars taking this street and people on bikes will take advantage of the new lanes.

I use the bike for recreational purposes , so I was very please with the change. Now I feel much safer taking this route when I bike to the lake. Also I noticed that someone posted this week these little ‘Thank you notes’ on lamp posts along the route:

I feel the same… Thank you city of Toronto for the urban remake!

Since I have reached Level 20, I bought this morning a Citadel and got more land with it… plus an additional South Realm is now being built. I think I will be growing citrus trees there and open more businesses as well. Now my new goal will be another Land Upgrade for $250,000 and finally getting the Ruby Citadel for $750,000 – My Kingdom is getting very rich now.
