Saturday’s Farmer’s Market at the Evergreen Brick Works… that pretty much says it all! It was quite walk, I did take shuttle bus back from Brickworks to Broadview Station so there is slight cheating when it comes distance, may be about 5km maximum, nevertheless it was an awesome day with nothing but sun and 24C to sweeten it. I shoot a tone photos along the way and at the Evergreen Brick Works which is a bonus. Plus had a great lunch there as well… I will be  going back there again at some point, for now here is a video from the Evergreen Brick Works:

I walked down to my physiotherapy appointment today… spend some time with my physiotherapist and walked back home. Nothing major, but I must say each session makes a difference. When I walk down to the appointment my leg was much weaker so I walked slower comparing to after session walking back home. I need do more squats at home to straighten these muscles.

Ok… not really a city walk. More like stroll to couple stores in the neighbourhood since I needed to pick up something. But since every little kilometre counts when you are trying to exercise your legs, here are the stats from the walk. Plus, after all it is foggy and rainy day outside so I would not consider going too far anywhere in this weather.

This is how foggy is outside:

We had another beautiful day in Toronto and it would a real sin to spend it at home, so I went to Bathurst Quay to visit a friend and walked from Exhibition Place all the way home. Around lunch time it got a bit windy by the water, but it was sunny and very warm. It was great stroll along the Harbourfront for the day and perfect exercise… Video from the walk:

I killed two birds with one stone today; I walked down to my physiotherapy appointment and back. Walking down was worst than coming back, meaning that my appointment was money well spent on the excises I did today for my injury… I really need to do more of them at home for the next little while to build up the muscles in the left leg. During my appointment my Walkmeter App caught an eye of my physiotherapist who liked it so much when I showed it to her, that she bought it for iPhone.

It was another perfect day for a walk… down to the St. Lawrence Sunday Antique Market, along Front St. and to Eaton Centre. It is amazing, you don’t realize how far you can walk within your own neighbourhood area in just over an hour.

Apparently I managed to walk a distance of 9.28 km as per my Walkmeter App, not bad…:

It was one of those days… it started really nice and sunny, but it got overcast around Noon and by 3pm in the afternoon it was clear and sunny again. Either way, it was warm enough to go for a walk around the city. I stumble onto the annual Freedom Festival and Marijuana March which was held at the Queens Park. Needless to say, with some 15,000 participants as per news media estimate, it was pretty smoky there. I checked out some of the speeches during the opening, listen to music and head out with everyone along the Marijuana March route later to take some video and photos which I will post tomorrow. It was a good excise, I walked almost 8km and my injured leg was holding up well. Now time to put my feet up and relax before dinner.

We have had a spectacular Spring day with nothing but sun and warm temperature today so I decided to spend it at the Beach, a neighbourhood I used to live in for a decade, know and still very much love… I tracked my day trip to the Beach with my Walkmeter (mind you, I took a transit to and from it so in fact I did not walk for 15km rather about third of it). I am glad I put some sunscreen on my face and neck because I would get sunburn for sure. It was great to visit shops along Queen St. East and see what is new and exciting about the neighbourhood after long winter. Awesome day in general, but my legs are a bit sore… otherwise it was a great walk, especially on the boardwalk!

    Here are a few snaps:

As prescribed by my physiotherapist, I am working on restoring strength to my injured leg. Since I am not brave enough to get onto my bikecycle as of yet (except the stationary bike which I use during my physiotherapy appointments), second best thing I can do is walking. Long walks with frequent brakes seem to really help me in restoring my leg muscles, control and confidence. Today was a perfect day to try and take nice long walk from the Village to the Lake and back. Plus I got to stop at the Distillery District for lunch and to check out couple of galleries as the CONTACT Photography Festival is starting this weekend. Here is the city walk accomplishment for today:
