Giotto’s Campanile, Florence, Italy
Giotto’s Campanile is a free-standing bell tower that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo in Florence, Italy. Standing adjacent the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Baptistry of St. John, the tower is one of the showpieces of the Florentine Gothic architecture with its design by Giotto, its rich sculptural decorations and the polychrome marble encrustations.
Chimney of Casa Mila, Barcelona, Spain
Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera, is a building designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built during the years 1906–1910, being considered officially completed in 1912. It was built for the married couple, Rosario Segimon and Pere Milà. Rooftop is full of famous chimney designed by Antoni Gaudí as seen in this photograph.
