In 2010, a team of pranksters led by Dutch performance artist Iepe B. T. Rubingh dumped 500 liters of paint on an intersection in Berlin, turning passing traffic into unwitting paintbrushes. The piece of guerilla street art was entitled “Painting Reality.” According to Rubingh, the paint was water-based and environmentally friendly.
